Morning start the full day tour. Our guide picks you up at the hotel and starts the day to observe Myanmar culture city, Mandalay. Visit start with the Mahamuni Pagoda, which is one of Myanmar’s most revered religious pilgrimage sites. The pagoda houses a brilliant gold statue of the Buddha, covered in gold leaves and decorations thickness is 5.9 inch.
After this, visit Jade market to view the cutting of raw jade into sellable jade pieces.
Then, visit Shweinpin Monastery - an ancient monastery made entirely of wood, with intricate wooden carvings.
After this, we will continue to the tapestry workshops –where you can learn how to create Kalaga and marionettes, gold leaf making cottage where gold pieces are turned into thin leaf.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will continue our visit to Kuthodaw Pagoda – known for “World’s Largest Book” - the rows of 729 white stupas, which contain splendid marble slabs inscribed with Buddhist Scriptures.
After this, visit the Shwenandaw Monastery - known for its teak carvings of Buddhist myths, which adorn its walls and roofs. It was once entirely covered in thick gold, but only the interior gold remains due to harshness of the tropical weather. Some of the outer carvings have been praised off and removed being damaged by the weather. Inside the monastery, there are 10 jataka scenes taken from the Buddha's life. These are still in a very good condition.
Then, the Kyaukdawgyi Pagoda. This pagoda has a huge white and gold Buddha statue, which is known to be carved from a single block of marble.
After these, visit Mandalay Hill, and view sunset regarded a natural watch tower in the plain region of Mandalay and overlooking beautiful glass temples of the hill.
Then, we will end our day at the Shwe Kyin Monastery, where we witness the monks conducting their peaceful evening prayers.
After the full day tour in Mandalay – The last kingdome Myanmar, our guide transfers to you to the hotel and say good night.
