Pindaya - situated at the foot of Mene-Taung Range about 45 km north of Kalaw, is a picturesque place. This small town is famous for its caves (Pindaya Cave or Shwe Umin Cave) in which stocked full of Buddha images (apparently 8,094 in total). It is carved by the locals at the end of the 17th Century in a variety of styles. The images are of various sizes, some carved in the face of rock and some deposited in niches in the walls. The ancient caves are about one mile southwest of the town, and can be reached by taking a horse-cart, or motoring there by jeep or just walking along on foot. Leading to the cave entrance and for exploring the huge meandering maze made up of numerous caves. The caves are supposed to be 200,00 million years old and since ancient times they have been places of worship and veneration with 8,094 Buddha images made from various materials like teak wood, marble, alabaster, brick, cement and lacquer, and all enshrined in the nooks and corners of the winding caverns. At the entrance to the main cave, there is a pagoda 50 feet in height. This pagoda is called Shwe U-min Paya or the Golden Cave pagoda.
Morning at 07:00, pick you up at Nyaung Shwe Jetty and drive to Pindaya (57 km, 1 hour 20 minute drive).
Visit Shwe Umin Cave - The ancient caves are about one mile southwest of the town and visit Pone Talote Lake. While visit Shwe U Min Cave, one can see the beauty of that lake. Nearby because of the old and huge Banyan trees, the beauty of landscape is more attracted. Visit local paper and umbrella making cottage.

Drive back to Nyaung Shwe and visit beautiful Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery which is a very interesting red painted teak wood 19th century building with oval windows. Then heading to Red Mountain Vineyard in the hills to the east of Inle Lake for some wine tasting. One of only two vineyards in Myanmar, this definitely breaks of your day-to-day Myanmar experience, making it suddenly feel as if you have been transplanted to the south of France. You can try the tasting menu (featuring wines from four different types of grape) whilst taking in the stunning sunset views over the lake.
Transfer back to Nyaung Shwe Jetty.
