There are increased domestic airlines in Myanmar and they are emphasized to improve their services so that we can choose the best one among of them. All the airlines operate different flight schedules depending on different seasons.
Air Mandalay is a schedule airline, based in Yangon. It operates flights to all major tourist destinations within Myanmar including Bagan, Mandalay, Heho and Ngapali Beach . Air Mandalay has schedule flights from Yangon to Chiang Mai. As an established domestic air line in Myanmar, Air Mandalay offers easy online reservations. Air Mandalay Limited, the first regional joint venture airline in Myanmar, was formed on October 6, 1994. The shareholders are the national carrier Myanma Airways, Air Mandalay Holdings Pte Ltd of Singapore and Premier Airlines Pte Ltd of Malaysia. Currently fly to all major destinations in Myanmar and to Chiang Mai in Thailand. It was terminated for a while from Dec 2014 to Mar 2015 and now the airline is back to the business with new aircrafts, ERJ 145.

MYANMA NATIONAL AIRLINES
MYANMAR NATIONAL AIRLINES was changed from MYANMA AIRWAYS, based in Yangon. It operates scheduled services to all major domestic destinations. Its main base is Yangon International Airport.
The airline was founded by the government after independence in 1948 as Union of Burma Airways. It initially operated domestic services and international services were added in 1950. The name was changed to Burma Airways in December 1972, and to Myanma Airways on 1 April 1989 following the renaming of the country from Burma to Myanmar. International services were transferred to Myanmar Airways International, set up in 1993. This year they change the name and operates with new aircrafts.
Asian Wings Airways
The new airline has been incorporated since 17 September, 2010, as a private airline based in Yangon International Airport – successfully inaugurated on 27 January, 2011. It currently offers regular flights to all major tourist destinations in Myanmar, such as: Yangon, Mandalay, Nyaung U (Bagan), Heho, Kyaing Tong, Tachileik, Lashio, Monywa, Homalin, Bhamo, Myitkyina, Thandwe, Myeik, Dawei and Kawthaung. In the very near future, Asian Wings Airways will extend its wings to regional destinations through scheduled flights as well as chartered ones.
Air Kanbawza(AIR KBZ)
Under the guidance of Myanmar Investment Commission, Air Kanbawza, otherwise known as AIR KBZ, was established in June 2010. As the name “Kanbawza” suggests, the airline represents the Shan state and culture, while at the same time catering the local and international clienteles. Taking off her very first commercial flight on April 02, 2011, to this date AIR KBZ has unveiled 10 destinations altogether. Destinations during the initial phase include Yangon, Nyaung U, Mandalay, Heho, and Myeik. As of today, the airline has expanded its operation to Tachileik, Myitkyina, Kalay, Dawei and Kawthaung. With the support of the valued customers and dedicated employees, plans are already made to further expand to Sittwe, Thandwe and Kyaing Tong by October 2011. AIR KBZ aims to have more than 20 destinations in the near future, covering all the commercial centers of Myanmar.
Yangon Airways LTD.
Yangon Airways was established in October 1996 as a domestic airline in a joint venture between Myanma Airways, the state-owned national airline and Krong-Sombat Co., of Thailand. In October 1997, MHE-Mayflower Co., acquired Krong-Sombat’s shares in Yangon Airways and since then the airline has evolved into a principal domestic airline operating scheduled and charter services from Yangon to 13prime commercial and tourist destinations in Myanmar.
Yangon Airways operates new ATR 72-212s powered by Pratt & Whitney PW-127 engines and fitted with state-of-the-art avionics system. The aircraft have an impressive exterior and appealing interior, a highly efficient performance and extra quiet operating conditions. They are configured to carry 70 passengers with 30-inch seat pitch. Yangon Airways’ aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of airworthiness requirements.
MANN YADANAPON AIRLINES
Mann Yadanarpon Airlines was incorporated as a private limited liability company on July 23 2013, and granted a permit by the Myanmar Investment Commission under the Myanmar Citizens Investment Law to operate air transportation services on both domestic and international routes. Mann Yadanarpon Airlines is the first airline in Myanmar to base its operations at Mandalay International Airport Mandalay International Airport, MYA aims to provide convenient international flight connections to international travelers arriving at and departing from Mandalay. MYA plans to expand its operations to regional destinations after successfully operating domestic services.
GOLDEN MYANMAR AIRLINES
Golden Myanmar Airlines is the first Myanmar Aviation Public Company established in July 2012, has grown to be Myanmar's leading domestic and international low cost carrier. It is with great honor to announce the formation of Golden Myanmar Airlines—as people oriented carrier. In their first steps, it is determined to reach the pinnacle of the airline industry in Myanmar. The airlines dedicated to deliver outstanding in-flight service, superior onboard products, and operational excellence.
In September 2012 an ATR 42 took off from Yangon Airport. The event marked the start of a new chapter in Myanmar’s aviation history, as it was the first commercial flight of FMI Air Charter. FMI Air Charter currently operates about 19 flights a week between the commercial hub, Yangon and the capital city Nay Pyi Taw. In addition to our scheduled flights FMI Air Charter also provides bespoke charter services to over 20 airports within Myanmar, enabling customers to tailor their air travel schedule to fit their specific needs.
APEX Airline Public Company Limited (APEX Airlines) was incorporated on 27th November 2012 for the purpose of providing International and Domestic Air Transport Services and was awarded a provisional Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) to commence its startup process. APEX Airlines will be operational and ready to serve passengers in March 2015.
The Airlines is a full-service airline based in Nay Pyi Taw; the capital city of Myanmar (Burma). It is based on a hybrid model, which combines low cost and service, at affordable fares. APEX Airlines has a focus on going green and being environmentally friendly. Our goal is to have less wastage of resources, focus on recycling and having policies and processes in place for reducing our carbon foot print. APEX Airlines is based in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar’s capital city. We currently operate from Nay Pyi Taw to domestic destinations using brand new state of the art ATR 72 – 600 aircraft. As we expand our services, we will be using the Airbus A320 family of aircraft.
