From over Inle, flight of around an hour at various heights above the ground and water, will reveal to you the lake, mountains, marshes and stilt-house villages. Driven by the wind, you will see the boats of the lake, motorized canoes transporting visitors along the main canal from Nyaungshwe on a day’s expedition, or Intha fishermen majestically rowing their flat-bottomed skiffs with one leg as they cast their nets.

The pioneer balloons were started in 1999. The balloons and equipment have been supplied new to Balloons over Bagan by Cameron Balloons of the UK, the world largest and finest balloon manufacturer. The balloons are custom made to the highest standards of the British aerospace industry. Pilots are mostly British and have thousands of flight hours not only in Bagan but all over the world. They follow strict flight regulations regarding the maximum hours of flight allowed. Don’t be doubt that bird eye’s view from Balloons is unforgettable. Now, the BOB provide its service from Bagan to Inle also.
Oriental Ballooning was founded in 2013 and is a syndicate of leading professionals from the hotel and tourism industry. With the advice of Gone-with-the-Wind ltd. the company purchased brand new balloons from Cameron Balloons, Bristol UK, the world’s largest balloon manufacturer. All pilots have a commercial UK balloon license and many years of flying experience. Some of the pilots have lived and worked in Burma for many years and are happy to share their insight knowledge with you during the flight. Most of our pilots speak at least a couple of foreign languages like French and German but some will also be able to communicate with you in Spanish, Chinese or Japanese. Oriental Ballooning obtained its AOC (Air operators certificate) in November 2013 and has been offering flights in their boutique 4-8 passenger balloons over Bagan, Mandalay, Inle lake and Pindaya with more new destinations to follow soon. The company employs over 100 local staff who enjoy their job and will do everything to make your experience as comfortable as possible. They are fully employed – also during the off-season – and the company offers them free English lessons to improve their skills and opportunities for the future.

The very newly balloons in Myanmar. The balloons are manufactured by Ultramagic from Spain. This is one of the best and well-known balloon manufacturers in the world and approved by European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The insurance is fully comprehensive covered by Lloyd from United Kingdom for both third parties and the passengers. So safety and satisfaction of the clients is our highest priority. There are 3 balloons with total capacity of 24 passengers operated with three Swiss pilots and one Spanish Chief pilot, one Spanish examiner and inspector, one Swiss maintenance manager, two local operation managers, and 25 local ground crews. The Balloons was started their operation on 23rd Nov 2014.
